Luceda Academy: EAM simulations using IPKISS and nextnano
Luceda Academy’s online hub features a new application example: “QSCE-based electro-absorption modulator (EAM) with nextnano and Luceda”
In this application example, we show how to design and simulate an EAM based on Quantum-Confined Stark Effect (QCSE). We use an automated link between IPKISS (Luceda Photonics) and the nextnano++ software (nextnano GmbH). The main goal of this tutorial is to demonstrate how to build a model using a link with nextnano/IPKISS in Python and use the results to enable CAPHE simulations for circuits that contain QCSE-based EAMs.
